Youth Staff Leadership Training

Camas Meadows Bible Camp offers a variety of opportunities for youth to serve and develop leadership skills. The camp's youth staff program allows teenagers to assist with various tasks, from leading small group discussions to organizing camp activities. This hands-on experience not only helps young people build practical skills but also fosters a sense of responsibility and community engagement.

Additionally, the Youth Staff Training program provides targeted training and mentorship, empowering youth to take on more substantial roles, such as camp counselors or program coordinators. These opportunities enable young individuals to grow as ministry leaders and make a meaningful impact on the camp community.

3 Ways to Serve

Support Staff

  • Year round opportunities

  • Training on the job

  • Flexible commitment

  • Eligible to earn free winter/summer camp of choice

  • Must be turning 14+ the year you serve.

Do you love helping behind the scenes, while making a difference and helping the camp function? Support staff often work in the kitchen, set up activities, perform basic maintenance and cleaning as part of a close group of volunteers.

This is a perfect role for someone wanting to experience staff at a younger age or who enjoys serving from behind the scenes.

Counselors

  • Seasonal opportunities

  • Staff Training Required

  • Eligible to earn free winter/summer camp of choice

  • Personal fundraising is encouraged.

  • Must be turning 15+ the year you serve.

Do you love connecting and making a positive impact on kids, while doing fun outdoor adventures? Each year a team of crazy, compassionate, and Christ-focused people care for their group of kids during their time at camp.

This is a perfect role for leaders in love who love connecting with people.

Interns

  • Year round opportunities

  • Staff & Intern Training Required

  • Monthly stipend + personal fundraising is encouraged

  • Must be ages 17+ the year you serve.

Would you like to learn a specific skill and get leadership experience with on the job training? Each season there are a select number of paid intern positions. Some of these opportunities may include leading programs, maintenance, or youth ministry.

This is a good role for someone looking to pursue Youth or Camp Ministry or someone wanting to gain on-the-job experience in management and leadership.
